Life Issues

Pro-life groups watched a number of sanctity-of-life bills, and a number were heard in the Texas House. The State Affairs Committee considered bills that would protect unborn children from destruction. Bills that were heard included H.B. 22, a bill regulating certain physician's offices where abortions are performed, and H.B. 1760, which applied to a woman's informed consent of an abortion.

Both HB 22 and HB 1760 had public testimony given on April 2, but no action was taken on either bill by the Committee.
