Position Statements on Life Issues
A Strong Foundation
TPRC seeks to contribute to the stability of the family in our society. That purpose is based on four guiding philosophies or beliefs:
We believe that the ultimate purpose in living is to glorify God and to attain eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, beginning within our own families and then reaching out to a suffering humanity that does not know of His love and His sacrifice.
We believe that the institution of marriage is a permanent, lifelong relationship between a man and a woman, regardless of the trials, sicknesses, financial reverses, or emotional stresses that may ensue.
We believe that children are a gift from God, a heritage from the Lord. We are, therefore, accountable to God for molding, shaping, and preparing them for a life of service to God and to their fellow man.
We believe that human life is of inestimable worth and significance in all of its dimenstions, including the aged, the widowed, the mentally-retarded, the unattractive, the physically-handicapped, and every other condition in which humanness is expressed from conception to the grave, including the unborn.
Our commitment to these principles is apparent at every level throughout the Council. The values and techniques taught to parents are drawn from the wisdom of the Bible and Judeo-Christian ethics, rather than from the humanistic notions of today's theorists. In short, the principles of the Texas Physicians Resource Council are a reflection of what we believe to be the recommendation of the Creator Himself, who rodained the family and gave it His blessing.
Texas Physicians Resource Council members can offer their medical expertise on a number of pro-family issues. TPRC's position statements on these issues can be found by clicking the issues below. Please let us know how our experts in these fields may help you.
