Mission
Mission Statement
Texas Physicians Resource Council exists to support public policy that strengthens Texas families. We endeavor to support these policies through education and persuasion based on medical research and adherence to Judeo-Christian values and principles.
Goal
Our goal is to support the Texas family policy council (Free Market Foundation) by activating medical professionals who can directly impact public policy and decisions made by elected officials and medical leaders.
Methods
We will accomplish these goals by:
- Mobilizing physicians and dentists to take action in their communities, and to promote strong moral values among their patients and civic leaders
- Serving the medical profession by providing timely, accurate information on medically-related family issues
- Immediately generating communication from hundreds of Texas medical professionals to their elected officials or medical leaders regarding current issues
- Directly educating church groups, media, and grassroots organizations in local communities through literature, seminars, or other events
- Developing letters and testimonies on medically-related pro-family issues
- Assisting the coordination of efforts to conduct research on family-related medical topics
- Developing a speakers bureau designed to activate and educate the public on pro-family issues and their medical components
- Testifying in Austin and local communities before government officials in support of pro-family issues
- Financially supporting the Texas Physicians Resource Council and the Free Market Foundation
- Reviewing and evaluating research on issues of medical impact to determine the relative validity of the research
- Offering opportunities for fellowship and encouragement among like-minded medical professionals, which includes developing resources and conferences that strengthen medical professionals and their families
